Celebrate the holiday season and toast to a new year of emPOWering equity in art on Wednesday, January 10, in Chelsea. Come see old friends, make new connections and enjoy the new blockbuster exhibition, Making Their Mark, at the Shah Garg Foundation.
Komal Shah, philanthropist and founder of the Shah Garg Foundation, will provide a keynote address. Shah held executive positions at Oracle, Netscape and Yahoo before leaving the tech industy to focus on philanthropic pursuits. Today, the Shah Garg Foundation supports a variety of scholarship and public engagement initiatves to amplify the voices and works of women artists.
Beverages and light snacks will be provided, and all attendees will be able to enjoy the foundation's special major exhibition, Making Their Mark, showcasing the works of more than 80 of the most significant female artists from the last eight decades. The exhibition showcases works from the Shah Garg Collection and is curated by Cecilia Alemani.
Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis, with a suggested donation of $18. All proceeds benefit POWarts' Empowering Equity in the Arts end-of-year campaign .
