Tour of Central Park Sculpture & Summer Networking Picnic

Saturday, August 12, 3–6PM EST

Central Park, New York, NY

Join in for a walking tour of Central Park statues led by POWarts member, Janelle Diethelm. The tour starts at 3pm at Simon Bolivar Monument and will last approximately 45 minutes. Janelle will share a brief history of the park, and its statues that we will see along the walk, like Women's Rights Pioneers Monument and Bethesda Fountain. Whether you're an art lover, an academic, or just a curious mind, come join us on a journey through the fascinating world of Central Park’s art history.

We will gather for the picnic at approximately 4PM, between the Obelisk and  Greywacke Arch - leveled at East 81st Street (the exact location will be sent via email before the event). We encourage you to invite a friend or family member or show up with your four-legged besties. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and bring a blanket. Everyone is encouraged to bring snacks, refreshments, and/or something bubbly.  Let's celebrate summer, community, and art together!
