Out with the old and in with the new! Start off 2016 with POWarts and the Center for Italian Modern Art!
Join us on January 13th for cocktails in CIMA’s beautiful Soho loft. Raise a glass with other inspiring women in the arts, take a guided tour of CIMA’s Giorgio Morandi show, and bring gently worn clothing for our Dress for Success drive.
Admission is FREE
The Center for Italian Modern Art is a new organization founded and run by women. Throughout the evening, CIMA’s fellows-in-residence will lead tours of GIORGIO MORANDI—an exhibition featuring some 40 of the artist's seminal paintings from the 1930s and 40s accompanied by contemporary works by Tacita Dean, Wolfgang Laib, Joel Meyerowitz, and Matthias Schaller.
To give back and help us all make a fresh start in the New Year, POWarts will also be collecting clothing donations for Dress for Success. Your fabulous suits and other professional apparel could help another woman feel confident and land a job that could change her life. We will be collecting anything appropriate for an interview—suits, separates, jewelry, scarves, handbags. If possible, bring clothes on hangers, laundered, and ready to wear! (More details about what to bring here.)
Happy New Year, and we'll see you at CIMA!
