Free Arts NYC Party

Thank you to all of the POWArts folks who came out and supported Free Arts on Friday, January 9th for our Art Party.  Free Arts was kind enough to supply us with pizza and wine as we reciprocated with our creativity.  Free Arts has a wonderful family program in which families participate in a multi-week art/reading program.  They form a "design team" with each other and collaborate on art projects to encourage positive communiation and teamwork.  We helped Free Arts by trying out their project ideas and making samples of all of the projects.  This was a fun, meaningful and creative way to spend a Friday night and POWArts will be involved with another Art Party in the spring.
